Welcome to Island Kayak Tours

Are you looking for something unique to do - whether you are here on vacation, or reside in the surrounding area to Anna Maria Island, Florida - we have the activity for you!

Imagine gliding along in 24 inches of water and looking down to see a 10 pound redfish or snook lingering near the bottom below you. Looking up you see a flock of a dozen Roseate Spoonbills flying overhead. In the mangrove trees to you right, you spot a Great Blue Heron resting on a branch, eyeing you cautiously as you quietly drift by. Numerous mullet perform aerial acrobatics all around you as if to say 'hello' and to welcome you to their domain. A pod of dolphin swim nearby in search of a meal. You watch them as they slowly arc above the water and then disappear as gracefully as a ballerina. A disturbance in the water in front of you catches your eye. As you paddle closer, you can make out the sllouette of a manatee swimming slowly just beneath the surface.

Is this for me?

A large number of our customers have never kayaked before. Others kayak regularly in other parts of the country or world, but want professional guidance in unfamiliar water. Many of our customers - after using our services - take up kayaking on a regular basis.

Even if you have never kayaked before, you will find it both easy and enjoyable. People of all ages can participate in this activity. Kayaks are stable - more stable than some canoes - and can travel in inches of water. There is no other watercraft that can access the "skinny" water like a kayak can. We offer individuals or groups the opportunity to see a part of Florida that can not be viewed any other way!

Kayaks are also very quiet. Because of the stealthy nature of a kayak, we can "sneak up" on unsuspecting wildlife providing numerous opportunities to view native creatures in their natural environment. Opportunities abound for sightings of several types of birds and water fowl as well as, on occasion, dolphins and manatees. The possibility of finding beautiful and exotic shells exists as well.

Regardless of your age, we offer a tour that will be customized to fit your interests. Whether you would like a leisurely paddle through secluded mangrove trails and islands, or prefer a little open water with a beach stop for swimming and shelling - we have it all.
